Quartz infrared heaters are one of several types of radiant heater. The invisible rays that they emit heat object and not the air around them. Because they just heat the objects within the room and do not heat the entire room, infrared heaters are very efficient. They also work very quickly. Because there is no hot air being pushed around, it doesn’t get as stuffy.
Convection heaters use a fan to blow the heat over the coils and out in the air. They are great for heating up the whole room. Convection heaters with fans are used in garages and larger work spaces. Even the big heaters are made on wheels so they are more portable. Don’t worry that the fan will be too loud. In many models you can barely hear the sound of the fan.
